Areas and Valleys

Bielsa is situated at the headwaters of the river Cinca, amid a gorgeous mountain setting, and acting as a guardian of the valley of Pineta, a border crossing to France.

The best way to discover the beauty of Bielsa is by exploring its valleys, places combining beauty and charm and which are ideal for enjoying the scenery and the tranquillity provided by these mountains. Every valley is markedly different but they do have one thing in common: the number of magnificent places they treasure and that will impress visitors who venture to discover them.

Its beautiful Renaissance town hall boasts the evidence of a cruel episode during the Spanish Civil War, "La Bolsa de Bielsa", as well as its famous carnivals.

The combination of hiking and mountain offer here endless possibilities: climbing, mountaineering, mountain biking, hunting and fishing... Cross-country skiing (Nordic or alpine) or excursions with the use of snowshoes are alternative activities for the winter season.
